My bad, I didn’t mention that this was a conversion in a 1979 F250 4x4 crew cab. I don’t tow in 5th gear, just 4th and 4th over on the flats. WebJul 31, 2024 · On a p-pump, when pin is in place the pump is locked at whatever timing it’s set, 13.5 or whatever. If the pump builder sets it to 17 then pin holds it at 17 and anything you adjust advanced on the truck from tdc gets added to it. I don’t know if the ve is basically a tdc so always no advance, and then advance is set after or not.
